示威要求在中国建立独立工会

Demonstrate and protest for the establishment of independent trade unions in China

2010年4月6日民阵和中国民主党美东党部在纽约中领馆前举行主题为“释放劳工领袖！建立独立工会，维护劳工权益，彻底消除矿难！”的示威活动。这次活动由王为正，陈依莺，柯诚萍三位党员主持。

主持人先介绍山西王家岭煤矿最近发生的透水事故（矿难），2010年3月28日山西王家岭煤矿发生的透水事故造成153人一度被困井下，至今仍有几十人生死未知，这是今年又一起矿难。

党部负责人唐元隽在发言中说：“矿难在中国频繁发生，是政府失职造成的。俗话说‘矿主制造了隐患，而官员制造了矿难。’是政府安全监管责任的失败。我们看到，中国是世界上发生矿难最多的国家，根据中国官方的统计数字，2009年一年，就有三千多名矿工在各种事故中丧生。近些年人数衆多的死亡的矿难，大部分都是国有矿。国进民退不能给工人带来真正的安全。在中国，官场的习惯是报喜不报忧，工人无奈地冒着生命的危险前去从事危险的作业。矿难往往是黑心的矿主和腐败官员勾结的结果。

现在舆论要求治矿难先治官，正是官员权力腐败带来的煤矿安全监管失效。要治矿难必给矿工参与安全监管的权力。矿工要有直接或间接维护自身权益的能力，随时让政府监管劳动场所的安全，要求立即改善糟糕的矿井安全设施。民主国家能将矿难降到最低限度，甚至完全消除。这些国家里，工人有工会权利的保证，能参与到了与自身性命攸关的生产安全监督中来。在中国，矿工没有参与安全监管的权力；官员有权力，却玩忽职守。

我们应该看到，中国经济高速发展的同时，成千上万的工人遭遇下岗的命运，不能得到合理的补偿。许多人继续过着被压迫的生活，在恶劣的环境里长时间工作。劳工为维护自身权益进行的抗争行动，都会被官方认为是非法的，一些工人还会因此被抓捕判刑。

中国工人必须有自由组织工会的权力和形成集体谈判的力量，拿起法律武器，行使自己的权力，才能保护自己，改变不安全的工作环境，从根本上消除矿难。众所周知，中国的官方工会是为党和政府服务的，根本不能代表工人利益。只有建立独立工会，通过集体谈判，才能有效的维护自己的权益，在有独立工会的前提下，进行管理安全制度的改革，消除强迫性劳动，改善不安全的工作环境。”

最后，示威活动在“停止一党独裁！释放劳工领袖！建立独立工会，维护劳工权益，彻底消除矿难！支持维权运动！还中国人民结社自由权利！释放劳工领袖孔佑平（鞍山）！释放释放劳工领袖宁先华（沈阳）！释放王森（四川）！释放许万平（四川）！释放王妙根（上海）！释放佘万宝（四川）释放李信涛（山东）！释放李旺阳（湖南）！” 口号声中结束。
